The Corona Match Play Championship was created as a way to play golf during Covid in 2020. It was thought that playing one-on-one instead of in groups was the best way to get that done. Covid is over, but the tradition carries on.
The match consists of the top 8 Rats on the previous years' points list. If someone in the top 8 is unable to play, the next one on the list takes that spot. The first round of matches start at the beginning of the year and must be completed by end of March. Semi-finals start eary April with the final championship match to be completed by late April/early May.
